The description of a city must be as diverse as the people in it, a multiplicity of definitions, networks, landscapes, cultures, histories, policies. From the perspective of the expatriate designer, what is Amsterdam? This issue is a subjective tour which gives a voice to the creativity of individuals working in the city.
