The New Tools series examines the interactions between architectural theory and practice in the current architectural debate. Each issue is devoted to a specific topic and brings together texts by authors from various disciplines who provide impetus for a reorientation of architectural discourse and socio-spatial practice. The second volume, Architectural Discourses on Commoning, presents current community-oriented spatial and urban practices. It focuses on issues of diversity and inclusion, the political dimension of land use, and an ethic of care in dealing with the existing built environment. The contributions show how architecture and urban planning promote participation, solidarity, and new forms of coexistence.
