This publication contains five conference performances, written in French and English, by the Franco-Korean duo of Ju Hyun Lee and Ludovic Burel. Known for work that combines publications, performances, and installations, the artist-researchers present a critical examination of the status of design within the KVM (an acronym that varies with the projects in the Korean Vitra Museum, Korean Vocal Museum, Korean Vernacular Museum, etc.). The term “counter fictional design” applies equally to objects and behaviours, in both the cultural and managerial spheres. Interested in postcolonial issues, the two artists together pursue a self-described approach of mimicry and sly civility.
