Produktbeschreibung

This book compiles in 312 pages about 80 collective housing works made in Uruguay between 1933 and 2020, with a foreword by Jorge Nudelman. This atlas is an opportunity to further understand the history and theory of collective housing in Uruguay. Because of its scientific nature, its only means of expression is manifested through objective drawings that share common graphic scales: the advantages of this system are evidenced in previous TC publications, regarding the subject matter’s examples in Spain. The case for Uruguay doesn’t exactly constitute an exception, although the circumstances are quite different. Indeed, due to a bibliographic context of scattered and disarrayed texts, this will probably be the first one that focuses on collective housing as a topic in itself, without its historical ties to social housing, which has generally been the attention of Uruguayan researchers in the past.
