Paperback, NEW, Japanese text with English insert (Only a part of the text is translated) When Frank Lloyd Wright's Imperial Hotel in Tokyo was demolished in 1967, a team of researchers spent 6 months preserving records of the building. The team, Professor Shindo Akashi and his students at Waseda University, published the results as a book, ‘Empirical Research on Former Imperial Hotel' in 1972. Due to its small circulation and high price, it was difficult to find. The same book has now been re-edited as a new edition intended for wider reach. Includes a fold-out set of plans redrawn from detailed on-site surveys. The English insert explains the history and significance of the hotel's design.
